Demolition of the Low Bay Hangar and Sky Chef Building and Deluge System Modification Project
This dynamic project for LAWA at LAX involved extensive demolition and new construction. As the electrical subcontractor, Technion Contractors performed demolition of electrical equipment and pathways at aircraft hangars and new construction of a 1.5 million gallon bolted steel tank fire pump building including five 400 hp electric fire pumps, including 5000A, 480V, 3P service, and installation of 3125 kVa back-up generator.
Qantas LAX Engineering Hangar, Vertical Works
Technion Contractors performed the electrical work for this first of its kind design-build project at LAX. The Engineering Hangar at LAX for the Qantas Airbus 380 is the largest airplane maintenance hangar in the United States, 480’ by 370’ and 12 stories tall.
Jefferson High School
Technion Contractors provided Jefferson High School with improvements to its athletic field. New athletic field lighting was installed at the existing athletic field including underground infrastructure and installation and erection of 90’ Musco lighting poles. A lighting ceremony kicked off the school’s home football senior and unveiled the new and improved field lighting.
Water Quality Control Plant Blower Building Transformer Installation and Distribution System “M” and “W” Replacement
Technion Contractors served at the prime contract on this project for the City of Riverside. Technion Contractors upgraded the existing electrical equipment and installed new, redundant medium-voltage automatic transfer switches to the Blower Building.
