Technion Contractors TCI, Inc. is a Los Angeles based contracting company engaged in the public works sector providing general and electrical contracting services. Technion Contractors brings over 25 years of construction and 16 years of public works experience and has completed over 200 construction contracts for facilities and agencies in the Greater Los Angeles area. The firm’s success is based upon its strong and knowledgeable leadership, dedicated support staff, and skilled workers. We are a family business with a high level of accountability. Principals

Fran Amkraut, the company’s President and CEO earned her BA from Columbia University in New York. She then moved to Los Angeles where she earned her MBA. Along with Sharon, Fran opened Technion Contractors in 2004 while at the same time serving as a development and management consultant in the non-profit sector. Fran holds a B-license in construction and serves as the company’s RMO in addition to supervising the business administration, policies and practices and overseeing the development of the company. The Company’s largest single project to date, the Airport Response Coordination Center at LAX for LAWA, the airport’s nerve center bringing together air and landside operations, Airport Police, Construction and Maintenance, TSA and other government agencies in one command center through Technion Contractors’ 9,000 square foot modernization project with approximately 30 trades executed in an unprecedented aggressive 6 month schedule without disruption to round the clock airport operations was completed under Fran’s direct supervision.

Sharon Hillel, the company’s Vice President and Project Manager is a graduate of The Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, where he earned his BS in Civil Engineering. During and since his studies, Sharon was continuously engaged in his field. While in Israel he served as a Project Manager for David Raz Management. Sharon’s services included managing construction of the landing station building for undersea fiber optic cable. This Telecommunications Center Building connects Israel’s data system to Europe, a project of $16 million. Upon moving to the United States, Sharon began working for FEI where he was introduced to the field of public works and school modernizations serving as Project Manager for the Margate Intermediate School renovation project in Palos Verdes, a project of $4.3 million. Sharon always had the desire to be independent and in 2004 opened his own company with Fran. Technion Contractors is a reflection of his vision, ambition and hard work. He brings over 20 years of experience to this company.
